Stephen Stratton, Senior Air Quality Consultant - Ricardo
Stephen Stratton is a Senior Air Quality Consultant with Ricardo and has over 12 years’ experience in ambient air quality monitoring in the UK.
Stephen’s background is in physics and he specialises in the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) of ambient air quality monitoring equipment and data. This includes various roles relating to air quality monitoring sites, automatic monitoring instrumentation and data management including key roles delivering Ricardo’s position as the UK’s National Reference Laboratory for QA/QC on the UK’s national Automatic Urban and Rural Network (AURN), on Scottish Government’s Scottish Air Quality Database and with numerous Local Government measurement networks. Stephen has extensive experience in the delivery of Air Quality monitoring site QA/QC audits to support data traceability to national and international AQ metrology standards, of undertaking Local Site Operator duties and in the verification and validation of AQ data through the application of ‘data management and data ratification’ processes.
